Farstrup
A range of individual chairs, designed and made in Denmark. Top quality construction and optimum versatility to ensure the chair can be sat in comfortably, with good support, for long periods of time. Features include; adjustable neck support, inflatable lumbar support, infinitively adjustable seat and back with angles between 100 and 125 degrees, variations in seat depth, rounded front seat, arm rest for support when rising or sitting. Farstrup chairs can be tailor made to achieve the optimum seating height for each individual. Total Back Care has a special measuring platform installed at the Centre to ensure we arrive at the correct specification.

Lumbar Supports
Total Back Care carries a wide range of Lumbar Supports, which are available to trial at our Centre. Our Assessors will advise on posture, support and fit, whilst the client can judge the level of comfort for themselves. There is NO one size fits all Lumbar Support – indeed selecting the wrong support can aggravate a condition rather than relieve it. The width, depth and contour of supports vary enormously and we would always advice clients to try before they buy.

Seating Wedges
Total Back Care carries a range of Wedges, which can be placed onto a seat to help ensure that the knees drop below the hips, opening up the pelvic angle and reducing pressure on the lower spine. Specific Wedges can also bring comfort to people suffering with coccyx conditions. All our range is available to try out at the Centre and includes:

Inversion Equipment
Inversion is a natural form of traction that uses your body weight in combination with gravity to decompress weight-bearing joints. While the body is suspended, gravity’s force applies traction, resulting in a customized stretch that elongates the spine, increasing the space between the vertebrae. This helps to relieve pressure on the discs and nerve roots, less pressure means less back pain. The gentle reverse loading of joints can also help to realign the body and improve posture.

Teeter Hang Ups
Total Back Care recommends and supplies Teeter Hang Ups who are market leaders in inversion technology. The F-series inversion tables are classified as UL 2601 – 1 for medical equipment and are the only inversion products to achieve this.
